DiFalco Genesis DD304 HD30 30-Band Electronic Slot Car Controller
DiFalco's premium 1/32 Genesis controller with traction control, E.S.P. braking, 30-band precision and XLR connection.
The DiFalco Design Genesis DD304 HD30 is a premium electronic analog controller designed primarily for serious 1/32 scale racing. It combines DiFalco's precision 30-band electronic throttle with adjustable sensitivity, adjustable braking, traction control, an E.S.P. full-brake relay, Blast full-power relay, interchangeable resistor networks, and a precision ball-bearing trigger.
The Genesis design moves the power transistor and heat sink away from the handle to a separate trackside assembly. This reduces weight in your hand while allowing DiFalco to use heavy-duty components where they matter.

30-Band Electronic Control
The DD304 uses DiFalco's precision 30-band electronic wiper system to provide fine power progression throughout the trigger range.
The controller can be adjusted to suit differences in motor characteristics, chassis setup, tires, traction, track layout and driving style. Unlike a conventional fixed-resistance controller, you are not limited to a narrow range of motors determined primarily by controller resistance.
290-Ohm Interchangeable Resistor Network
The Genesis DD304 comes standard with a 290-ohm plug-in resistor network selected for a broad range of 1/32 scale slot car motors.
The resistor network is mounted on a small removable circuit board. Optional networks with different resistance values are available, allowing racers to change the controller's basic response range for different motors and applications.
This makes the DD304 much more adaptable than a conventional fixed-resistance controller. Appropriate optional networks can also extend its usefulness to selected 1/24 applications.
Adjustable Sensitivity
A wide-range sensitivity control allows you to adjust how aggressively the car responds to trigger movement.
This lets you soften the response of a powerful or difficult car, increase response when more immediate power is desirable, or simply tune the controller to your preferred driving style.
Adjustable Traction Control
The DD304 adds DiFalco's Traction Control to the Genesis platform.
Traction Control allows you to reduce the power delivered to the track while the trigger is below full throttle. This can make it easier to feed power into the car without overpowering the tires when exiting a corner.
At full trigger position, Traction Control is bypassed so the car still receives full available track power.
This is particularly useful with powerful cars, non-magnet racing and lower-grip track conditions where controlling wheelspin can be more important than simply adding power.
25-Ohm Adjustable Braking
The 25-ohm brake rheostat provides a wide range of braking adjustment, allowing you to match braking characteristics to the car, track layout, traction level and your driving preference.
E.S.P. – Extreme Stopping Power
One of the major advantages of the Genesis HD30 design is DiFalco's E.S.P. (Extreme Stopping Power) brake relay.
When E.S.P. is activated, the relay provides a very low-resistance path for maximum braking rather than relying solely on the conventional trigger-to-brake-post connection.
The relay is positioned with the remote heat sink/transistor assembly close to the track connection, reducing resistance in the brake circuit. It is activated electronically from the controller's wiper system, providing fast and consistent full-brake response.
E.S.P. can be switched on or off, allowing you to choose between normal adjustable braking and maximum full-brake response.
Blast Full-Power Relay
The DD304 also incorporates DiFalco's Blast full-power relay. At full throttle, the relay provides a direct high-current power path so the controller can deliver maximum available track power to the car with minimal loss.
Lightweight Genesis Cable Design
Rather than mounting the power transistor and substantial heat sink in the controller handle, the Genesis HD30 uses a remote heat sink/transistor assembly connected to the handle by a flexible multi-conductor cable.
This moves much of the power-handling hardware out of your hand, producing a lighter controller while keeping the high-current components close to the track connection.
Precision Ball-Bearing Trigger
The DD304 uses DiFalco's precision ball-bearing trigger system. The bearing-supported trigger reduces friction and side play while helping maintain consistent wiper-button contact with the controller bands.
The result is smooth trigger action and consistent feel through long racing sessions.
Heavy-Duty Construction
Genesis controllers use a routed fiberglass frame, stainless-steel hardware, heavy-duty wiring and a nickel-plated circuit board. The nickel-plated wiper bands resist corrosion and require less maintenance than untreated copper contact surfaces.
Heavy-duty wiring and high-current components are used throughout the power section of the controller.
Positive Polarity
The Genesis DD304 HD30 is designed for positive-polarity analog slot car tracks only. Unlike some DiFalco Neo models, the DD304 is not polarity-switchable.
Positive polarity is now common on modern commercial, club, home and OmniSlotBox installations.
If you're uncertain about your track polarity, message us before ordering and we'll help determine compatibility.
XLR Connector & Other Connection Options
This controller is supplied with our preferred 3-pin XLR connector for a fast, secure connection to OmniSlotBox systems and other XLR-equipped tracks.
DiFalco controllers can also be supplied with other connector types. If you require alligator clips, banana plugs, or another connection, message us before ordering or select the appropriate connector option or have it both ways with one of our adapters.
Handle Colors & Special Orders
Handle color varies according to current inventory. We normally ship an available color so your controller can be supplied without unnecessary delay.
If you want a particular handle color, message us before ordering. A controller can be built specifically for your order by DiFalco Design when the requested color is available. Additional lead time may be required.
Availability
DiFalco controllers are individually hand-built in relatively small quantities. We stock popular models whenever possible, but demand can occasionally exceed available inventory.
If a controller must be built to order, typical lead time may be approximately 3–4 weeks.
Easy Maintenance & Serviceable Design
The Genesis electronic wiper block does not carry full motor current as a conventional resistor controller does. This greatly reduces arcing and wear at the wiper contacts.
The open-frame design also makes routine cleaning and inspection straightforward without requiring the controller handle to be completely disassembled.
The Genesis power electronics are designed to be serviceable, with replaceable components rather than requiring replacement of the complete controller if a component eventually fails.
Why Choose the DD304?
The DD304 sits near the top of DiFalco's 1/32 controller range for good reason. It combines:
- Precision 30-band throttle control

- 25-ohm adjustable braking
- E.S.P. maximum braking
- Blast full-power relay
- Interchangeable resistor networks
