The DS Electronics DS-3510 PHN-02, distributed by Scaleauto, is a sophisticated electronic analog slot car controller designed for racers who want extensive control over throttle response, braking and available power.

Its contactless magnetic trigger rides on ball bearings for exceptionally smooth action without a conventional electrical wiper or resistor contact controlling motor current.

The PHN-02 combines 100% electronic PWM throttle control with two throttle-response adjustments, adjustable braking, selectable 1/32 and 1/24 response modes, and a built-in voltage-reduction system that can reduce output to approximately 70% of the incoming track voltage.

This standard version is supplied with factory-installed 4mm banana plugs, providing direct compatibility with banana-jack driver stations and additional flexibility at tracks using traditional alligator-clip connections.

Contactless Magnetic Trigger

The PHN-02 does not depend on a conventional resistor board or electrical wiper to determine trigger position.

A magnetic sensor detects trigger movement while the trigger itself operates on ball bearings. This provides an extremely smooth mechanical feel with minimal friction and eliminates normal electrical contact wear from the throttle-position sensing system.

100% Electronic PWM Throttle Control

The PHN-02 uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control power to the car.

Instead of reducing voltage through a traditional wire-wound resistor, PWM rapidly switches power electronically. This provides precise control at low and intermediate throttle positions while retaining strong motor response.

The result is particularly useful on technical tracks where small throttle changes matter.

Two Throttle-Curve Adjustments

The PHN-02 provides two separate controls for tailoring throttle response:

• Curve – Establishes the basic power-delivery characteristic
• Aggressiveness – Makes the response softer or sharper

In reduced-voltage mode, the controller can lower the voltage delivered to the car to approximately 70% of the incoming track voltage.

4mm Banana Plugs & Alligator-Clip Compatibility

This listing is for the standard PHN-02 supplied with its factory-installed 4mm banana plugs.

The banana plugs connect directly to compatible banana-jack driver stations. They can also be inserted into many traditional slot car alligator clips, allowing the same controller to be used at tracks with clip-style hookups without cutting or replacing the original connectors.

This makes the factory banana-plug configuration especially versatile for racers who visit different clubs or commercial raceways.

Alligator-clip compatibility depends on the size and design of the track's clips, so verify fit before racing.
