The Professor Motor PMTR2100 Commercial Track Basic is a straightforward wired analog transistor controller designed for commercial and club racing through approximately 16D, JK Falcon and Hawk 7 motors.

Built in the USA using Professor Motor's Platinum Series transistor technology, the PMTR2100 provides smooth, predictable throttle control across a broad range of common analog slot cars without requiring sensitivity or brake adjustments.

This makes it particularly useful as a house, club, rental or loaner controller: simply connect it and race.

This version is supplied with solid copper color-coded alligator clips with insulating boots for traditional commercial, club and home-track connections.

The PMTR2100 is intended for positive-polarity commercial and club tracks running common moderate-power racing motors including:

A Wider "Sweet Spot" Than Traditional Resistor Controllers

Traditional resistor controllers depend heavily on matching controller resistance to the motor and track voltage. A controller that feels excellent with one combination may feel too touchy or too sluggish with another.

The Professor Motor transistor design is much less dependent on that narrow resistance match, providing a wider useful response range across different motors and voltages.

We think of this as a wider "sweet spot." For commercial and club use, this means the same controller can comfortably serve a broader range of racing classes than a single fixed-resistance controller.

Direct Wired Analog Response

This is a wired analog controller, so throttle changes are applied directly through the analog track circuit without digital or wireless command processing.

Fault-Tolerant Protection

The PMTR2100 incorporates a robust circuit design intended to help protect the controller from overloads, short circuits and accidental connection problems.

That extra protection is especially valuable for commercial raceway, club and rental use.

2-Wire Compatibility

The controller is fully functional in appropriate 2-wire non-brake applications, providing additional flexibility for track systems where a separate brake connection is not used.

A low-friction silver-alloy wiper button runs across an ultra-hard nickel-plated contact surface for smooth trigger movement, good conductivity and long wear life when properly maintained.

This controller is supplied with solid copper color-coded alligator clips with insulating boots for traditional commercial, club and home-track connections.

Handle Colors & Controller Identification

Our preferred stock configuration is the clear Professor Motor handle.

When supplied from our normal clear-handle inventory, we include a color/number controller ID sticker kit.

Professor Motor also offers molded handle colors including Clear, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Purple and Black, subject to current availability.

There is no additional charge for handle color. If you prefer a specific color, message us when ordering. If it is not in stock, additional lead time may apply.

Optional Power Relay Upgrade

The optional Professor Motor PMTR2037 Power Relay System provides a more direct, low-resistance path at wide-open throttle.
