The DS Electronics DS-3510 PHN-02, distributed by Scaleauto, is a sophisticated electronic analog controller designed for racers who want extensive control over throttle response, braking and available power.

Its contactless magnetic trigger operates on ball bearings for exceptionally smooth action, while 100% electronic PWM control provides precise power delivery across a broad range of 1/32 and 1/24 analog slot cars.

The PHN-02 combines two throttle-response adjustments, adjustable braking, selectable 1/32 and 1/24 response modes, and a built-in voltage-reduction system that can reduce output to approximately 70% of incoming track voltage.

This version is supplied with our preferred 3-pin XLR connector for fast, secure connection to OmniSlotBox systems and other XLR-equipped analog tracks.

Contactless Magnetic Trigger

The PHN-02 uses a magnetic trigger-position sensor rather than a conventional resistor board or electrical wiper to determine throttle position.

The trigger runs on ball bearings, providing extremely smooth movement with minimal mechanical friction and eliminating normal electrical contact wear from the throttle-position sensing system.

100% Electronic PWM Control

The controller uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to regulate motor power.

This provides precise low- and intermediate-speed control while retaining strong motor response, particularly useful on technical circuits where small throttle adjustments are important.

Two Throttle-Curve Adjustments

Two controls allow the throttle response to be tailored to the car and driver:

• Curve – Establishes the basic power-delivery characteristic
• Aggressiveness – Makes the response softer or sharper

This allows considerable adjustment for different motors, cars, track grip and driving styles.

1/32 & 1/24 Response Modes

A dedicated selector provides response settings intended for 1/32 and 1/24 scale racing, giving the racer a useful starting point when switching between substantially different cars.

Adjustable Braking

Brake response can be adjusted to suit the car, track layout and driver's preference.

Reduce braking for additional coast or increase it when stronger stopping response is desirable.

Built-In Voltage Reduction

The PHN-02 incorporates an adjustable voltage-reduction system capable of reducing output to approximately 70% of incoming track voltage.

This provides another powerful tuning tool when a car has more speed than the track or available traction can comfortably use.

A FULL / RED selector allows rapid switching between full track voltage and the reduced-voltage setting.

Emergency Brake Button

A side-mounted emergency brake button provides an immediate maximum-stop command separate from the normal progressive brake adjustment.

Adjustable Trigger Length

The trigger length can be adjusted to suit different hand sizes and trigger preferences, adding another useful ergonomic adjustment.

Wide Operating Voltage Range

The DS-3510 operates from approximately 8 to 22 volts DC, providing a wide useful range for conventional 1/32 and 1/24 analog racing.

Important Motor Compatibility Note

The DS-3510 PHN-02 is intended for conventional brushed slot car motors and is not compatible with brushless motors.

XLR Connector & Other Connection Options

This controller is supplied with our preferred 3-pin XLR connector for a fast, secure connection to OmniSlotBox systems and other XLR-equipped tracks.

The PHN-02 is factory supplied with 4mm banana plugs; this listing includes our XLR connector conversion.

We also offer the factory banana-plug version separately. For maximum versatility, an XLR-equipped controller can also be used with our separately available adapters for tracks using other connection systems.
