Adjustable 0–30 volt, 10 amp regulated DC power supply for analog and digital slot car tracks.
This compact bench-style power supply provides adjustable voltage, substantial current capacity, and simultaneous digital voltage and amperage displays, making it an excellent choice for tuning and powering slot car systems.
Unlike fixed-voltage wall adapters, the adjustable output lets you tailor track voltage to the cars, motors, controllers and racing conditions you are using.
Key Features
- Adjustable Output Voltage: 0–30V DC
- Maximum Output Current: 10A
- Digital Voltage and Current Displays
- Coarse and Fine Voltage Adjustment for precise track-voltage settings
- Regulated Switching Output for stable DC power
- Short-Circuit Protection
- 5V / 3.6A USB Charging Port for compatible accessories and mobile devices
For Analog Slot Car Racing
A variable power supply is particularly useful on an analog track because voltage has a major effect on the character of the car.
Lower voltage can make powerful cars easier to drive, while increasing voltage can provide more speed where the car, controller and track are designed to handle it.
Many 1/32 scale analog cars are comfortable around 12 volts , while other cars and larger-scale equipment may use higher voltages. Always select voltage appropriate for the equipment being powered.
For Carrera Digital
This supply can also be used as the power source for appropriately configured Carrera Digital systems.
- Carrera Digital 132: approximately 14.5–14.8V
- Carrera Digital 124: approximately 18V
The available 10A capacity does not mean that 10 amps should be forced through the Carrera electronics. The Control Unit and associated wiring determine the usable current capacity of the digital system.
Why More Current Capacity Helps
A power supply does not normally force its full rated amperage into the track. The cars draw the current they require, up to the limits of the supply and the rest of the system.
The advantage of a 10A supply is reserve capacity . This can be especially useful for:
- Multi-lane analog tracks
- Metal-chassis cars
- Higher-current motors
- 1/24 scale racing
- Individual-lane power arrangements
- Test benches and chassis setup
Current limiting should always be set appropriately for the wiring, controllers, track electronics and cars being powered.
Voltage & Current at a Glance
Voltage controls how hard the system is driven. Adjusting voltage changes motor speed and the overall feel of the car.
Current capacity determines how much power is available when the cars demand it. A higher-capacity supply can maintain stable output under heavier loads, provided the remainder of the system is designed for that current.

Jim's Racer Perspective
A variable bench supply is one of the most useful upgrades you can make to an analog track. Being able to see both voltage and current — and adjust the voltage precisely — makes it much easier to match the track to everything from mild 1/32 cars to much more demanding 1/24 equipment.
The 10A version is particularly useful where you want substantial reserve capacity or intend to power multiple analog lanes.
