Carrera track rails are made of steel, which causes voltage drop over distance and connectors—especially with hot motors or lane changers. Copper-wire power taps restore full voltage across your layout, improving: Car speed and acceleration Controller responsiveness Accessory and switch reliability 🔧 Easy Installation Instructions: Choose a central wiring hub under your table Run one color wire from each OmniSlotBox output to the hub Strip ~¼" of insulation and insert into toggle clamps From each clamp, branch out up to 9 tap wires For each tap: Strip ~2" of insulation Fold and twist lightly Insert into the square slot under the center of the Carrera track section Secure with hot glue or similar for stability 💡 Power Tap Spacing Tip: Add a tap every 12 sections or near each lane changer for optimal voltage. 🔌 Compatibility: OmniSlotBox Emulator or standard Carrera system – Connect to rails in or near the Control Unit section OmniSlotBox / OSB XMR – Tap directly from outputs #1–4 Output 1 = Rail 1 (nearest CU), etc. Wires can be mounted neatly under the table using insulated staples or cable clips 🏁 Pro-Level Performance This is the same power system used at the SlotCarClubhouse in Sherwood, Arkansas.
