A digital interpretation of the legendary King commercial raceway, combining a 96-foot lap, sweeping banking, nine lane-change sections and a strategically placed pit lane.
The classic King layout earned its reputation by combining exceptional speed with a sequence of corners that demands real driving skill. The Digital King Raceway adapts that character to Carrera Digital 132/124, creating a substantial home or club circuit in a footprint of approximately 13' x 25.4' .
It preserves the familiar King rhythm—long straight, bank, Chute, Deadman, Finger, Dogleg, Donut and Lead-On—while adding the passing and pit strategy of modern digital racing.
King-Style Racing Goes Digital
This is not simply a large two-lane layout. Nine digital lane-change sections give drivers repeated opportunities to select a racing line, set up passes and work through traffic.
The pit lane is positioned in front of the driver stations, putting fueling and race strategy directly into the action when used with compatible Carrera Digital functions and race-management software.

A Lap Around the Digital King
Leave the pit and accelerate down the approximately 18-foot straight before entering the sweeping 30-degree bank.
From there the circuit follows the familiar King-style sequence:
- Drop through the Chute
- Set up for the Deadman
- Thread through the Finger
- Change direction through the Dogleg
- Pass beneath the bridge
- Work around the Donut
- Accelerate through the Lead-On
- Return to the long straight for another lap
The result is a track with very different demands around the lap: commitment on the bank and straight, precision through the technical sections, and strategic lane selection when racing other cars.

Digital Race Strategy
With six drivers sharing two lanes, passing becomes part of the race rather than simply a matter of catching the car ahead.
Drivers can change lanes to find clear track, position themselves for an upcoming corner, pass slower traffic or respond to another driver's move. The pit lane adds another layer when fueling and pit strategy are enabled.
Compatible Carrera Digital functions can also support ghost or pace-car operation.
Power for a Large Carrera Raceway
The kit includes an adjustable power supply and wiring system suitable for a large Carrera Digital installation.
The power supply provides ample reserve capacity, while the Carrera Control Unit and associated electronics remain the governing components for usable digital-system current .
OmniSlotBox Upgrade Compatible
The Digital King can also be incorporated into an OmniSlotBox analog/digital system .
With the appropriate OmniSlotBox equipment, the same Carrera track can be used for Carrera Digital racing and true analog racing with conventional analog cars and controllers.
Table & Installation
The raceway can be assembled temporarily on a flat surface, but a permanent or semi-permanent raised installation is strongly recommended for a track of this size.
A table shaped around the circuit can improve marshal access, reduce unnecessary tabletop area and provide useful storage underneath. Protective perimeter walls are recommended anywhere a car could leave the racing surface.
The layout also provides excellent opportunities for pit buildings, bridges, lighting and other scenic details.
A Note About the Track Rendering
Track-planning software does not perfectly reproduce the transition geometry entering and leaving Carrera banked sections. The supplied component plan is based on the actual track geometry rather than the appearance of the 3D rendering alone.
Jim's Racer Perspective
The King became a classic because every part of the lap has a purpose. It gives you real speed, but a fast car alone isn't enough—you still have to negotiate the Deadman, Finger, Dogleg and Donut cleanly.
This version keeps that change of rhythm while adding something an eight-lane commercial King never had: lane-changing strategy . Nine switches and a working pit lane make traffic and passing part of the driving challenge.
Long live the King.
