Ultra-fine 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit finishing strips for the CG Slotcars Modular Tire Truing Machine.

The CG Slotcars CGTM07 Polishing Tape Set includes three progressively finer abrasive strips for final finishing of slot car tires after truing.

Each self-adhesive strip is pre-cut for the CG Slotcars sanding stick , making it easy to progress from 1000 through 2000 grit to achieve the tire surface appropriate for your car and track conditions.

Three Progressive Finishing Grits

• 1000 Grit– Begins the fine-finishing process after conventional sanding
• 1500 Grit– Further refines and smooths the tire surface
• 2000 Grit– Provides the finest finish in the set

Progressively finer abrasives remove sanding marks left by coarser grits and allow the racer to create a smooth, consistent tire contact surface.

Why Finish a Trued Tire?

Truing establishes tire diameter, concentricity and a consistent contact patch. The abrasive used during initial truing, however, also determines the texture left on the tire surface.

Progressively finer abrasives allow you to refine that surface after the tire is properly trued. The best final grit depends on tire compound, track surface and desired grip characteristics —the finest finish is not necessarily the fastest choice for every combination.

The three CGTM07 grits give you the flexibility to experiment and stop at the finish that works best for your particular setup.
