TheRamJet-X Digital Controllerfrom Digital Racing Solutions is a premium corded controller designed as a substantial upgrade from the standard Carrera Digital hand controller.

Made in the USA, the RamJet-X combines a traditional slot car controller shape with a quality trigger and contact system, adjustable trigger tension, gold-plated contacts, and a replaceable controller cable.

For experienced analog racers, the conventional pistol-grip design feels immediately familiar. For Carrera racers moving up from the stock controller, it provides a more substantial and comfortable controller with a much more traditional racing feel.

Why Upgrade From the Carrera Controller?

The standard Carrera hand controller gets the job done, but the RamJet-X is designed for racers who want a controller that feels more like traditional competition slot racing equipment.

The larger ergonomic handle, adjustable trigger tension, quality contact assembly, and gold-plated electrical contacts provide a more substantial and refined interface between the driver and the car.

Just as importantly, the RamJet-X retains straightforward Carrera Digital operation. You don't need to learn a complicated set of adjustments simply to race.

Plug-and-Play Carrera Digital Compatibility

The RamJet-X plugs directly into a compatibleCarrera Digital Control Unitand operates as a Carrera Digital controller.

Adjustable Trigger Feel

Trigger tension can be adjusted to suit the driver's preference.

Some racers prefer a light trigger for delicate throttle inputs, while others prefer more spring resistance and a firmer return. The RamJet-X lets you choose the feel that works for you.

Replaceable Controller Cable

The controller uses areplaceable cable, an important advantage for equipment that sees regular racing use.

The standard controller includes a coiled Carrera-compatible cable.Optional longer and shorter cables are available separately, allowing you to choose the cable length appropriate for your track and preferred driving position.

Clear Handle & Identification Kit

Our normal stocked RamJet-X controller is supplied with aclear handle.

Each controller also includes ourcolor and number identification sticker kit, making it easy to identify controllers or assign them to particular driver positions when several are being used on the same track.

The clear handle also provides an excellent starting point for personalization. The inside of the handle can be painted, allowing the clear plastic to protect the painted surface from normal handling and wear.

You can leave it clear, use the supplied identification stickers, or personalize it to create your own controller.

Excellent with the OmniSlotBox Emulator

The RamJet-X is particularly useful with theOmniSlotBox Emulatorbecause the Emulator uses Carrera-compatible digital controllers in both operating modes.

In Digital mode, use the RamJet-X normally with Carrera Digital cars. Switch the Emulator to analog operation and its trackside decoders allow the same RamJet-X controller to operate compatibleunchipped analog cars.

That means you can move between Carrera Digital and Emulator analog racingwithout changing controllers or changing the trigger feel you're accustomed to.

Jim's Racer Perspective

I'm Jim Cunningham, founder ofOmniSlotBoxand host of theSlotCarClubhousein Sherwood, Arkansas. I've been racing, building, tuning, restoring, and collecting slot cars since the 1960s.

We use RamJet-X controllers on our Carrera Digital setups at the SlotCarClubhouse. What I particularly like about them is that they give Carrera Digital racers a controller that feels much more like the traditional controllers experienced slot racers have used for decades.

They're also straightforward enough to hand to a guest. There isn't a dashboard full of adjustments to explain before someone can start racing.

For clubs and multi-driver tracks, the clear handles and included identification kit make it easy to number or color-code controllers without having to maintain separate inventory for every handle color.

Handle Colors

RamJet-X handle colors offered include Clear, Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple, Yellow, and Black.

Unless a specific color is requested, the controller may ship in any available handle color. If you have a color preference, message us before ordering and we will accommodate it when possible.

Handle color does not affect controller performance.
