    Vintage Controller Compatibility

    Some older controllers, including certain vintage COX and other early units, may use the older negative-polarity convention. Verify controller wiring before connecting unfamiliar vintage equipment.

    Safety Check

    When testing an unfamiliar controller, remove the car before making the connection. Then place the car on the track with the trigger released. If it immediately receives full power, remove it and verify the black and white connections before further use.
