Why We Prefer XLR

We recommend XLR connectors for analog slot car controllers because they provide afast, positive and secure connection.

Instead of connecting three individual alligator clips every time you race, one XLR plug makes all three electrical connections at once. The connector is keyed so it cannot be plugged in incorrectly, and its locking design helps prevent accidental disconnection while racing.

For home tracks, clubs and raceways where controllers are frequently connected and disconnected, we find XLR considerably more convenient than traditional clips.

Thegold-plated contactsof the OmniSlotBox connector also provide excellent electrical contact and corrosion resistance.

OmniSlotBox XLR Wiring Standard

Unless otherwise requested, we wire the controller to our standard OmniSlotBox 3-pin XLR configuration:

• Pin 1 – Black
• Pin 2 – White
• Pin 3 – Red

This is compatible with OmniSlotBox systems and other analog tracks wired to the same configuration.

XLR wiring is not universal.If your track uses a different pinout, please message us before sending your controller.
