Original vintage Tradeship #WE204 slot car chassis designed for small 16D-style motors. This simple, sturdy, lightweight chassis dates from the golden era of slot racing and is well suited to vintage restorations, period builds, or custom projects.

The WE204 features a clever motor-retention system that traps the motor securely between the chassis side rails while providing substantial adjustment for proper gear mesh.

Motor Mounting & Gear Adjustment

This strong chassis design holds the motor between the side rails and uses a separate retaining piece to secure the can end. This provides more support than relying only on the motor's endbell mounting screws and also allows generous adjustment of gear lash.

• Can be configured for either can-drive or endbell-drive motors
• Gear can be positioned on either side to suit motor rotation and drivetrain layout

Guide Mount

The chassis is supplied with a hole for a 1/8" guide shaft. It can easily be drilled for a 1/16" guide shaft if required. We can perform this modification before shipping upon request.

Vintage Packaging

Most examples remain sealed in their original 1965 vintage packaging. On some, the original plastic bag has become brittle and broken with age, but the vintage packaging is still included.
