🔒 Secure & Safe Checkout
A compact four-driver analog raceway with a 64-foot lap, technical rhythm and excellent marshal access—all in roughly the space of a single-car parking area.
The Black Diamond has long been a favorite with Nomad club racers because it delivers substantial four-lane racing without demanding a huge room.
This revised version opens the center of the layout slightly to improve visibility and marshal access while preserving the tight, technical character that made the original so much fun to race.
Four-Lane Analog Racing
Black Diamond is designed for four analog drivers racing simultaneously . Each driver controls an independent lane, giving the track the simplicity and direct feel of traditional analog racing while accommodating a full four-car field.
With a 64-foot lap and a variety of corner shapes, the layout rewards smooth driving and consistency rather than simply maximum straight-line speed.

Designed for Better Racing
The center opening is an important part of the design. It gives marshals easier access to the interior sections of the circuit and improves sightlines for the drivers.
That means less reaching across the racing surface and faster recovery when a car deslots.

Table & Installation
The track can be assembled temporarily on a floor or other flat surface, but a permanent or semi-permanent table is strongly recommended.
A tabletop cut to follow the shape of the circuit improves marshal access and reduces unnecessary table area. Protective sidewalls are also recommended where cars could otherwise leave the table.
A raised table provides useful storage space underneath and creates opportunities for scenery, elevation changes and a more finished raceway installation.
A Note About the Track Rendering
The 3D planning software does not perfectly reproduce every transition into banked track sections. The supplied layout drawings and component plan are based on the actual track geometry.
Jim's Racer Perspective
Black Diamond has been a favorite with our racers because it provides genuine four-driver analog racing in a remarkably compact space.
I revised the original layout primarily to improve access to the center of the track. Marshal access and visibility are every bit as important as the shape of the racing line, particularly during close club racing.
The result keeps the technical character of the original while making the raceway easier and more enjoyable to operate.
