Rather than purchasing a completely different controller for another racing system, compatible SCP controllers can be configured for different applications by installing the appropriate cartridge.

High-Current Performance

Powerful slot car motors can place substantial electrical loads on a controller, particularly during hard acceleration, wheelspin, or near-stall conditions.

With a rating of up to 20 amps continuous and 40 amps surge , this cartridge provides substantial current capacity for demanding analog racing.

That makes it useful for racers who want to use their SCP controller with everything from conventional home and club cars to substantially more powerful commercial-track equipment.

Full SCP Analog Control

When installed in a compatible SCP controller, the cartridge allows you to take advantage of the controller's sophisticated analog adjustments, including features such as minimum speed, power curve, maximum speed, braking, and anti-spin control , depending on the SCP controller model.

This adjustability is one reason the SCP platform can work so well with cars having dramatically different motor and handling characteristics.

Positive Polarity

This cartridge is specifically designed for positive-polarity analog tracks .

Positive polarity is the standard commonly used on modern home, club, and commercial slot car tracks. Some older commercial raceways and vintage equipment may use the earlier negative-polarity convention.

Always verify track polarity before connecting your controller.

Track Connections

Connection requirements vary according to the track or driver station where the controller will be used.

We offer separate adapters and connector solutions for common slot car track connections, including XLR, banana-plug, and alligator-clip systems .

For our own analog installations, we particularly like XLR connections because they provide a fast, positive connection and greatly reduce the chance of accidentally connecting controller wires to the wrong terminals.

Excellent for OmniSlotBox Analog Racing

This high-current cartridge is an excellent match for compatible SCP controllers used with OmniSlotBox Prime, OmniSlotBox XMR, and OmniSlotBox 4 .

Those systems provide true conventional analog operation and allow a Carrera track to run an enormous variety of analog cars. The SCP's wide adjustment range combined with this cartridge's high-current capability makes the combination particularly versatile.

Jim's Racer Perspective

The Slot.it SCP is my favorite analog controller platform largely because of its versatility. The interchangeable cartridge system means the controller doesn't have to be tied to one narrow type of racing.
