Digital Mode Switch to Digital and your Carrera Digital system operates normally through the supplied modified Carrera Control Unit. Race your Carrera Digital cars with Carrera-compatible digital controllers and retain normal Carrera Digital functions, including lane changing, pit functions, and compatible digital accessories. True Analog Mode Switch to Analog and the lanes become conventional analog slot car circuits. Your analog cars require no digital decoder or modification . Connect your preferred analog controllers and appropriate power supplies and race the cars as conventional analog slot cars. This gives Carrera track owners access to decades of analog slot cars—from vintage home-racing favorites to today's high-performance 1/32 and 1/24 racing equipment. Choose Your Controller and Track Voltage True analog operation gives you considerably more freedom in how you set up your track. Use your preferred conventional analog controllers and select a voltage appropriate for the cars you're racing. This is especially useful for collections containing cars from different eras and manufacturers with very different motors and performance characteristics. XMR vs. OmniSlotBox Prime The XMR provides the essential true analog/digital switching capability in a smaller, more economical package. It omits the diagnostic LEDs and built-in voltage/amperage meters found on OmniSlotBox Prime . Those meters are unnecessary when your power supplies already provide voltage and current displays. The XMR retains the robust internal circuitry and protection required for the switching system.
