Contactless Trigger Control
The SCP-2 uses acontactless magnetic trigger systemrather than a conventional resistor or mechanical contact board.
Trigger position is detected electronically, providing smooth movement without a wiper dragging across electrical contacts. This eliminates normal contact-board wear and maintenance while providing precise, repeatable trigger response.
The light trigger action is particularly comfortable during longer races where consistency and reduced hand fatigue matter.
Tune the Controller to the Car & Driver
One of the SCP-2's greatest advantages over a basic digital controller is the amount of control it gives the driver over throttle response.
Depending on the digital system and configuration, the SCP platform provides adjustments forminimum speed, maximum speed, throttle response, power characteristics, and braking behavior.
This lets you tailor the controller to cars with very different power and handling characteristics rather than adapting your driving to one fixed controller response.
Adjustable Maximum Speed
The maximum-speed adjustment is useful for much more than competition tuning.
Reduce maximum output forbeginning drivers, children, car testing, break-in, or particularly technical layouts, then increase it again when full performance is appropriate.
That makes the SCP-2 useful both as a serious racing controller and as a sophisticated tool for managing cars and drivers with different experience levels.
Carrera Digital 132/124
The Universal Digital SCP-2 can be configured for use with compatibleCarrera DIGITAL 132 and DIGITAL 124systems.
For racers accustomed to sophisticated analog controllers, the SCP provides a much more familiar racing interface than a basic digital hand controller, along with substantially greater adjustment capability.
Multiple Digital Systems – One Familiar Controller
The real attraction of the Universal Digital SCP-2 is its ability to work across several otherwise incompatible digital racing platforms.
Instead of changing to a completely different controller every time you race on another digital system, the SCP platform lets you retain thesame handle, trigger feel, and familiar adjustments.

Modular SCP Platform
The SCP was designed as amodular controller system.
The controller body contains the driver's controls and trigger system, while interchangeable cartridges and modules allow the SCP platform to be adapted to different racing applications.
Optional analog cartridges can also convert a compatible SCP controller for conventional analog racing, making the SCP platform especially attractive to racers who compete in both analog and digital formats.
Excellent for OmniSlotBox Emulator
The SCP-2 Universal Digital Controller is particularly interesting for anOmniSlotBox Emulatorinstallation.
The Emulator uses Carrera-compatible digital controller signals in both Digital and Emulator analog modes. This allows a properly configured SCP digital controller to remain in use when switching betweenCarrera Digital cars and compatible unchipped analog cars.
For true conventional analog operation withOmniSlotBox Prime, XMR, or OmniSlotBox 4, a compatible SCP analog cartridge is required instead.

I'm Jim Cunningham, founder ofOmniSlotBoxand host of theSlotCarClubhousein Sherwood, Arkansas. I've been racing, building, tuning, restoring, and collecting slot cars since the 1960s.
One reason I've been such a fan of the Slot.it SCP platform is that it doesn't force a serious racer to abandon a familiar controller simply because the racing system changes.
Trigger feel matters. Once you've become comfortable with a controller, moving between completely different handles and trigger characteristics can be surprisingly disruptive. The Universal Digital SCP lets racers who compete on several digital systems bring much more of that familiar feel with them.
The modular design also means the investment isn't necessarily limited to digital racing. With an appropriate analog cartridge, the same SCP controller platform can move into conventional analog racing as well.
