This is aused, fully functional Parma Double Turbo 4-ohm analog slot car controllerwith the classic1/4-inch stereo plug.

The Parma Turbo and Double Turbo controllers were fixtures of serious slot car racing for years. Long before today's sophisticated electronic controllers became common, these rugged resistor controllers were the standard by which many racers judged a good controller.

This one remains a very usable piece of classic racing equipment and is particularly appropriate forvintage and traditional 1/24-scale racingwhere a 4-ohm controller suits the motor and track.

4-Ohm Controller

The4-ohm resistancemakes this controller appropriate for many traditional higher-current slot cars, including numerous vintage and period 1/24-scale applications.

Controller resistance should be matched to the motor, track voltage, and driver's preference. A 4-ohm controller can be too aggressive for some mild modern motors, so this is best purchased by a racer who understands the requirements of the cars being run.

Classic 1/4" Stereo Plug

This controller retains itstraditional 1/4-inch stereo plug, a connection once commonly found at commercial and club raceways.

It does not plug directly into an XLR-equipped OmniSlotBox driver station.

If you want to use it with another connection system, we offer controller adapters as well as professional connector installation services separately.

This is aused vintage controller, not new-old-stock.

It has been inspected and tested and is in good working condition. Expect normal cosmetic evidence of previous use appropriate to a controller of this age. Please examine the product photos carefully, as they are part of the description and show the actual condition of the controller offered.

We have intentionally left this controller substantially in its existing configuration rather than modernizing it. For a racer looking for classic Parma equipment, the original character is part of the appeal.

Parma controllers like this were workhorses of the hobby. They're simple, rugged, repairable, and they come from an era when knowing how to match controller resistance to the car was simply part of being a slot car racer.

Today's electronic controllers offer much more adjustment, but there's still something satisfying about a good Parma resistor controller matched to the right car. This one deserves to go back into a race box rather than sit on a shelf.

Old school? Absolutely. Obsolete? Not if you're racing the right car.
